The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has started the process of sending back 281 Nepalese students, studying in China, and who had come home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ministry, in a press statement here today, shared that process to take back Nepalis students studying in various universities in People's Republic of China who had flown to Nepal during the pandemic had started.
In the first round, 281 such students would be returned to China for continuation of their studies. The details of those students could be found in the Ministry's website, according to the Ministry.
The Ministry has also called for applications from those enlisted students for visa fulfilling guidelines prescribed by China to return.
The Ministry made the decision to facilitate Nepali students to return to China after the recommendation of a task force formed by the Ministry.
Meanwhile, direct flight between Nepal and China has resumed with direct flight to Kunming today after a long hiatus owing to COVID-19 risks, according to the Embassy of China in Nepal.
