Nepal Police has arrested four people involved in the sale of fake face masks. They were arrested with 6,114 units of 3M masks. According to the Police Headquarters, the scam was revealed in a search conducted on the basis of a tip-off that fake masks were being sold in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu.
According to the Spokesperson of Metropolitan Police Range Kathmandu SP Dinesh Raj Mainali, A total of 4,194 fake 3M masks have been recovered from Mahalakshmi Ishan Enterprises and 1,920 from Anest Suppliers. Among the arrested is Buddhi Bahadur Karki, 34, director of Mahalaxmi Ishan Enterprises at Tripureshwor, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-11, Yash Agrawal, 20, of Bhotebahal, Kathmandu, India, Shriyans Lawati, 20, and Mukti Prasad Pokharel, 23, of Sankhuwasabha. Further investigation into the incident is underway, Mainali said.
